About Berwick

Historic Berwick is situated 40 kilometres south east of the Melbourne CBD in the city (shire) of Casey which extends from the foothills of the Dandenongs , to Western Port Bay and includes the suburbs of Harkaway, Berwick, Cranbourne, Doveton, Endeavour Hills, Hallam, Hampton Park, Narre Warren and also many semi rural areas. The Berwick Township with its carefully nurtured English village atmosphere was proclaimed in 1861 and boasts many beautiful historic homes and exclusive properties. Its many fine restaurants include the much-awarded “ Clover Cottage” and “Shanikas” in their number . A leafy environment with wide streets ensures Berwick today is one of the most liveable areas close to the City. Berwick also boasts a number of highly regarded public and private schools including Berwick High School, Hailbury College and St Margarets Girls School. Beaconshills College is soon to commence construction of its village campus in Kangan Avenue, Berwick.
